Braintree Police Investigating Several Car Break-ins on Jefferson Street

Braintree, MA — Police in Braintree are looking for a suspect connected to break-ins on Jefferson Street.

Early Wednesday morning, around 2:30 a.m., several car break-ins were reported on the street. The suspect was caught on video and is described as a tall male wearing jeans and a white t-shirt. He was dropped off by a silver Toyota Venza, police said.

Early Thursday morning, seven more car break-ins were reported along with two vehicles that were stolen. In both cases, the keys were left in the car. Police say one was recovered but the other one is still missing.

According to officer Peter Gillis, the suspect gained accessed to the cars because the doors were unlocked.

Residents are advised to lock their vehicles.
