Braintree Public Schools and Archbishop Williams Closed Tuesday

BRAINTREE, MA — Students and teachers are getting an extension to the three-day weekend. Braintree Public Schools, as well as Archbishop Williams High School, are closed on Tuesday due to the icy conditions.

According to the Braintree Public School District, the primary challenge has been de-icing buses, which will not be completed until well into the day on Tuesday.

As of Monday night, kindergarten registration for the 2019-2020 school year has not been cancelled. The district said it will provide an update on whether or not its cancelling by 10 a.m., Tuesday. Kindergarten registration is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Monatiquot School Kindergarten Center.
