Braintree Recycling Reminder: Plastic Bags and Recycling Carts Do Not Go Together
The reminder comes from the Braintree Trash and Recycling department.

From the Braintree Trash and Recycling Department:
The proper way to dispose of supermarket, retail store bags, or any plastic bag is to use them as household trash can liners, or when walking the dog, or to bring them to any supermarket, no matter where they came from. All entrances have a container for recycling plastic bags. Those bags are collected and become a component used during the process of making plastic furniture, decks, etc.
The plastic bags jam the gears of the recycling processing plant machinery, causing the plant to shut down equipment and to manually remove the bags…very costly, and very dangerous to their employees.
