Braintree Recycling: Rigid Plastics Reminder

From Braintree Recycling:

Rigid Plastics items such as plant trays, toys, plastic gym equipment barrels, laundry baskets, are not accepted by the recycling processing plant that takes curbside recycling. The plant will accept rigid plastics if they come in via their own full dumpster load, separate from curbside items, due to the commodities markets demands; and those are the folks who purchase the recyclables to make new products from.

As a result, the Town has a designated rigid plastics container at the Recycling Center/257 Ivory St. since they cannot be placed curbside.

Residents can drop these materials off every day (7AM to 3PM) except Wednesdays, Sundays & holidays. No sticker needed. An attendant is on duty to assist. Full information is available at www.braintreema.gov/recycling
