Braintree Restaurant Wins Best of Boston Award

Braintree, MA — The new restaurant on the block is also the best one south of Boston.

Cielo, located on Washington Street, won Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston award for “Best New Restaurant, South.”

"Owners Roberto Leon and Guadalupe Fuentes lovingly plate real-deal Jaliscan dishes such as hearty torta ahogada (a spicy pork and bean sandwich) and a hauntingly complex enchiladas mole with chicken. The meandering river nearby adds to the charm, as does a tequila bar that stocks rare vintages,” the magazine writes.

The Best of Boston awards look at the best establishments in the city and the suburbs. They are awarded by Boston Magazine.
