Braintree Schedules 9/11 Ceremony 2023

The ceremony will be hosted on Sept. 11 at Braintree Fire Department headquarters. Here's what to know.

BRAINTREE, MA — Mayor Charles C. Kokoros has announced that Braintree will hold it’s annual September 11th observance on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 8:30am at the Braintree Fire Deparment Headquarters, 1 Union Place. The ceremony will include remarks by the Mayor, public safety chiefs, moments of silence in remembrance of the attacks on the World Trade Center, and patriotic songs performed by the Braintree High School concert choir.

Mayor Kokoros stated, "As we gather to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the September 11th attacks, we come together as a community to honor the memory of those we lost and to express our support for our first responders. This solemn occasion reminds us of the resilience and unity that defines our nation. We will never forget the sacrifices made, and we stand strong together."

A light breakfast provided by Anthony Columbus catering will be available at the conclusion of the ceremony for all in attendance.
