Braintree Superintendent Search Narrowed Down to Two

The search for Braintree’s next superintendent has come down to two finalists.

The school committee announced this week that either former Southbridge superintendent Patricia Gardner ir Dedham High School principal Ron McCarthy will succeed retiring superintendent Maureen Murray.

The two final candidates come from a field of 17 applicants, eight of which were interviewed by a search committee.

Public interviews will be conducted by the school committee at Braintree High School on a date to be announced.
