Braintree Splits With Town Auditor

BRAINTREE, MA — Six months after starting as the town auditor, Cohasset accountant Raymond Kasperowicz and the town have gone their separate ways.

Tuesday night, the Braintree Town Council voted to terminate the town's 3-year contract with Kasperowicz. Councilors did not give a reason for the split.

Kasperowicz was named the auditor in April and had an hourly rate of $130 an hour with total pay to not exceed $74,000.

The search for the next auditor will being in the Ways and Means Committee. After voting to terminate the contract, the board voted to refer the search for the next auditor to the committee.
