Braintree Students Show Off Best Work at ARTFest

Some of the best creations from local students were on display Wednesday night.

BRAINTREE, MA — Some of the works of the Braintree Public Schools' finest artists were on display Wednesday at Town Hall as part of the school district's second annual ARTFest.

Pieces of work from all 10 schools ranging from drawings, displays, and computer design were shown as part of the gallery. "Making Memories Again" was the theme.

Art Director Heidi Larson Hurley said students had to be chosen by their art teachers. Some of the project took two weeks while others needed more time, Hurley said.

"It's a very difficult decision and the teachers would like to have all their student's work (on display), but it's down to creativity," Hurley said.

Hurley added that teachers looked at works where the students expressed themselves in the best ways they know how to.
