Braintree Teen Caught Jumping on Red Line Tracks

Patrik Finnerty, 19, of Braintree was charged with trespassing.

Transit police say a Braintree teen ended up on the Red Line tracks at the Andrew Square Station in an attempt to get to the other side.

On Monday night, Patrik Finnerty, 19, of Braintree was charged with trespassing for what police called, “a foolish and dangerous action.”

At approximately 7:45 p.m., police received a report of a male who jumped off the platform from the northbound side, climbed over the dividing wall, back onto the right of way, and onto the southbound platform.

Train travel was suspended in both directions and electricity to the track was shut off according to police.

Finnerty was scheduled to be arraigned in South Boston District Court on Tuesday.
