Braintree Town Council Getting New Table, Desks
The days of the Braintree Town Council sitting around a single table will be a thing of the past starting Aug. 15.

BRAINTREE, MA — The days of the Braintree Town Council sitting around a table will be a thing of the past starting Aug. 15.
At that meeting, there will be a new arraignment of tables at Cahill Auditorium. Instead of a half-circle with the nine councilors, there will be a table for three councilors, six desks for the remaining members, and extra tables for staff and the media, according to the Patriot Ledger.
Council President Sean Powers said the tables can be moved for events at the auditorium.
