Braintree Town Offices Reopening
Mayor Charles Kokoros announced that town buildings we will reopen with restrictions intended to help lessen the spread of the coronavirus.

BRAINTREE, MA — Mayor Charles Kokoros announced that town buildings we will reopen Wednesday with restrictions intended to help lessen the spread of the coronavirus.
Buildings opening include Braintree Town Hall, Department of Public Works Offices, Recreation and Community Events Department, trash/recycling offices and the Braintree Police Station records department.
"As the number of new coronavirus cases in Braintree and around the state continue to trend down, I feel that we can now safely reopen town buildings," Kokoros said. "My top priority is to protect the health and safety of employees and the public as we begin our reopening on Wednesday. We will implement safety standards that have been provided by the state in all our town buildings and all employees will receive social distancing and hygiene training to ensure a safe working environment."

Kokoros said proper signage has been installed in all town buildings and facilities detailing the Mandatory Workplace Safety Standards. Anyone entering town buildings will be required to wear a face covering. Where appropriate, the town has installed temporary walls and/or plexi glass at least six feet in height to ensure social distancing is maintained between residents and town employees when conducting business.
In addition, in order to comply with contact tracing requirements all members of the public will need to sign in to create a record of who was in a town building at any given time. The sign in list will only be used for the purpose of contact tracing.

The hours of operation for town hall are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday.
