Braintree Travel Team Wins Sandwich Baseball Tournament With Impressive Streak

Braintree National's 10a Travel Team recently won the Sandwich Tournament, which took place on July 12-15.

The team defeated Scituate, Sandwich and Milton American in pool play, allowing only two runs in the games and were seeded as the number 1 team in the playoffs. 

On Sunday, they defeated Harwich, Milton National, Walpole and then Sandwich in the Championship game. The pitching was anchored by Kyle Roche, Tyler Morelli, Tucker Erdody, Jack Cesarz, William Fitzgerald, Ben McDonough, and Dan Blaszkowski. 

The defense was tight all weekend and the offense received contributions from the entire lineup. Coaches Fitzgerald, Roche, Wilson and Perniola had the boys performing their peak the whole weekend. It was an impressive streak of seven wins.
