Braintree Tree Lighting Rescheduled To Sunday
Braintree's annual tree lighting will be moved back a day, with rains in the forecast for Saturday.
BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree officials have rescheduled the annual tree lighting ceremony to Sunday.
Originally set for Saturday, rain in the forecast has prompted a number of communities to delay their annual festivities by a day.
The lighting will now take place on Sunday with festivities beginning at 4 p.m. on the Town Hall Mall.

Hot chocolate will be served and Christmas carols sang at 4 p.m., with local students doing the honors of singing. Those students will be led by Music Director Matthew Sawtelle.
Mayor Charlies Kokoros will be joined by special guests to light the town tree at 4:30 p.m., officials said.
