Braintree Veterans Day 2019: Events, What's Open, Closed?

All of Braintree's retail stores will not open until noon in observance of Veterans Day.

BRAINTREE, MA — Veterans Day will be observed on Monday, Nov. 11. The national holiday was established in 1926 to honor men and women who have served in the military.

Town officials announced its annual Veterans Day ceremony will be at the town hall. The ceremony itself begins at 10 a.m., but residents are welcome to come at 9 a.m. for some coffee before the speeches. Mayor Joseph Sullivan and John Olivere, a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam, will be the event's speakers.

Trash and recycling collection is delayed by one day. Here's a quick round-up of what else is open and closed Monday. If you know of more businesses that are open or closed, help out your fellow neighbors by leaving the information in the comments.
