The Braintree Voter's Guide to the 2016 Massachusetts Primary
Your complete guide to Thursday's state primary.

BRAINTREE, MA — The state primary is this Thursday and that means that voters across Massachusetts will heading to the polls to decide who moves on to November's general election.
Voters are encouraged to confirm their voter status and polling location by visiting the Secretary of State’s office online or by calling the Town Clerk’s office.

Party Affliation
There are four political parties in Massachusetts:

- D - Democratic Party
- R - Republican Party
- J - Green-Rainbow
- CC - United Independent Party
Voters who are enrolled in one of the above parties can only vote on the ballot for that party.
Voters who are unenrolled in a party will be listed on the voter list with the party code “U.” Unenrolled voters and can choose which party’s ballot they would like to receive.
Polling Hours
The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Here's a list of polling locations:
- Precinct 1A - Marge Crispin Center, 74 Pond St.
- Precinct 2A - Hollis School, 482 Washington St.
- Precinct 3A - Ross School, 20 Hayward St.
- Precinct 2B - Saint Thomas More Parish Hall, 7 Hawthorn Rd.
- Precinct 3B – Braintree Recreation Building, 85 Quincy Ave.
- Precinct 4A - East Middle School, 305 River St.
- Precinct 4B - Morrison School, 268 Liberty St.
- Precinct 5A - Town Hall, 1 JFK Memorial Dr.
- Precinct 5B - Liberty School, 49 Proctor Rd.
- Precinct 6A - South Middle School, 232 Peach St.
- Precinct 6B - Highland School, 144 Wildwood Ave.
- Precinct 1B - Flaherty School, 99 Lakeside Dr
