Braintree Woman Arrested After Using False Name of Wanted Person

A Braintree woman was arrested after the false name she gave to a MBTA transit officer was wanted by police.

A Braintree woman was arrested on Sunday after giving a false name to a MBTA transit officer after she was asked to stop smoking at the Quincy Center MBTA Station.

Tina Lunn, 37, of Braintree initially gave police a false name and date of birth after she was asked to stop smoking at the entrance of the station but the name did belong to a real person who had a warrant out for her arrest according to the MBTA Transit Police.

Despite going through the booking process with the false identity, police eventually learned the Lunn’s real name and discovered several warrants out for her arrest.

The warrants in existence for her arrest from Hingham District Court were for three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, and possession of Chemical Mace without an FID card. Additionally, there was a warrant for larceny over 250.00 from Salem District Court. Lunn will also be charged with false name during booking process and was issued a smoking citation.
