Why are you seeking elective office?
To Make Braintree Wamps Again.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Kid's mental health, my plan is to give as much decision-making back to parents as possible while working with psychologists who do not have an agenda. The world's changing, and we need to make sure our kids have the tools necessary to be successful.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I'm not a politician and I have no interest in power. Braintree schools have a very tough road ahead of them, and I believe I can help put them in a position to be most successful.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
The state locked our kids out of school, put them in a losing posture with remote learning and caused trauma at levels we don't even know about yet. What did our school board do? Ignored parents, got rid of the mascot, changed the color of graduation gowns and renamed "house master" to "vice principal". What's the old saying "Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times." Well not hard to see where we are at.
How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently?
Power was quickly centralized to the state and federal level, they had no say in it. I give them all credit for showing up, though.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
There is a revolution in education going on right now. More and more kids will be leaving public schools for private, Catholic or homeschooling, which will have a negative effect on Braintree's schools. I love Braintree Schools and I believe they are worth fighting for, so we have to show parents why Braintree Schools is the place for their children.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Worked in public schools for over a decade and as a veteran of modern warfare it has given me a unique insight to what plagues our schools, town and country.
The best advice ever shared with me was:
Life's not fair
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
God, Family, and Country
