Cape Cod Jeweler Gets Start Selling Bracelets at Braintree Salon

Yarmouthport resident, Tiffany Snow, pursues her passion by creating fashion jewelry with meaning.

When Tiffany Snow was deciding how to design her jewelry line, she knew she wanted every one of her pieces to mean something to the wearer, no matter their age or beliefs. She wanted them to connect to her creation, much like she had to the jewelry she wore when she was growing up.

So, when she started making the jewelry last summer she “really wanted to make something more than just a bracelet."

Snow began selling her bracelets at her Aunt’s hair salon in Braintree, and received positive feedback from family, friends and eventually strangers. It wasn’t long before she was approached by Toodies Fine Jewelry in Quincy about carrying her full line. She calls this opportunity “really amazing,” she said and feels it gave her the “confidence and belief that she had a really special line.”

Snow has found a lot of support on the Cape as well. “I couldn’t be in a better place to start a business,” she said.

Tiffany Snow Jewelry is now in five local stores: The Little Beach Gallery in Hyannis, the Barn & Co. in Dennis, the Pump House in Orleans, the Crystal Pineapple in Barnstable, and Gingie’s in Yarmouth in addition to seventeen other stores off-Cape and in New Hampshire.

Snow grew up in Quincy, and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor's degree in Business and Communications. She then started a career at Channel 7 News in communications as a production assistant. After a year she realized her heart and soul were in jewelry and fashion.

Each bracelet is made by Snow by hand, and are meant to be worn on their own or can be stacked together. Each bracelet comes packaged with a card that explains the meaning of the stones and the charms. Her most popular bracelet is the amethyst with the cherub angel; the amethyst is said to bring calmness and clarity where there is anxiety and confusion, and the cherub is worn for one to always have an angel looking after them.

Other natural stones she uses are turquoise for strength; white opal to create positive vibrations; green jade to bring hope and balance, and onyx for protection against negative forces and influences.

The tree of life symbolizes inner strength, love, security, knowledge, beauty and the interconnection of all life; the native Indian feather symbolizes courage, conviction and strength; and the fleur de lis symbolizes whatever you desire, signifying perfection, love and life.

“What means the most to me,” Snow said, “is when people are really connecting with my bracelets, or buying them as gifts to help pick someone up.”

For this reason, when Snow was approached to make a special edition bracelet for the non-profit organization Sailing Heals, she immediately said yes. The primary goal of Sailing Heals is to give individuals with illnesses, and the people who care for them, a memorable and uplifting experience on the ocean.

Snow said she was “honored to be able to help such a great cause,” and designed the bracelet incorporating stones for “balance, strength and hope,” and a charm with a sailboat.

Snow says the inspiration for her designs come from a combination of researching fashion trends and trusting her own style instincts she has been developing since childhood. “Even when I sleep, I am dreaming about work,” Snow says.

And she has been dreaming about evolving her offerings into necklaces and earrings, all of which can be worn on their own or together as a set.

But regardless of how much her line expands, one thing that will never change is the quality of the line. It is the most important thing to Snow that, even as the brand expands and the demand for her product grows, she be involved in every aspect of the production.
