Car Crashes Into Rt. 3 Overpass At Union Street Rotary

The Braintree Police Department is reminding resident to stay off the roads and go slow if they have to drive.

BRAINTREE, MA — Residents are being reminded to stay off the roads or slow down if they have to drive following a crash at the Union Street rotary.

Just before 10 a.m., Braintree Police posted photos of a car that crashed into one of the pillars holding up Route 3 at the rotary. Minor injuries were reported.

If you have to drive, expect difficult roads and low visibility. Residents are advised to stay at home due to the blizzard warning in effect until 7 p.m. During this period, falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout conditions, making travel extremely dangerous, according to the National Weather Service.
