Carolann Ricardo Joins Braintree At-Large Town Council Race
Carolann Ricardo will run against David Ringius and incumbents Shannon Hume and Charles Ryan for one of three seats At-large council seats.

BRAINTREE, MA — A fourth candidate has entered the race for Town Councilor At-large. Carolann Ricardo took out nomination papers and will run against David Ringius and incumbents Shannon Hume and Charles Ryan for one of three seats. There are now 16 people running for the council's nine seats.
There will also be at least one new face on the school committee. Incumbent James Daiute withdrew his nomination papers, according to the Town Clerk's office. This leaves incumbent Thomas Devin and challengers Karla Morast and Kelly-Cobb Lemire as the only candidates in the race. If no one else joins the race, the school committee race will be uncontested.
As of Monday, here's who's taken out nomination papers for Braintree's town election on Nov. 5. All town council seats are two-year terms, while all other positions have four-year terms The asterisks indicate incumbents:

The deadline for mayor candidates to pick up nomination papers has already passed. For all other positions, the deadline is 5 p.m., Sept. 13. Braintree's town election is Nov. 5.
