Children's Author Mish Michaels Book Signing, Sat., January 28 at Barnes & Noble, Braintree

Emmy winning meteorologist celebrates groundhog day with reading and book signing: "Ms. G's Shadowy Road to Fame".

Celebrate Groundhog Day at Barnes and Noble, Braintree, when Emmy winning Meteorologist Mish Michaels joins us for a reading and book signing of her children’s book, Ms. G’s Shadowy Road to Fame, on Saturday, January 28 at 11:00am in the Children’s Department.

The book is inspired by a real-life campaign that Michaels led to make Ms. G, a local groundhog, the first official Massachusetts state groundhog. The book tells the story of Ms. G, the resident groundhog at Stoneymeade Farm, and Ashlee, a first grader at Hunnewell Elementary School, who both share a love of weather. The two meet while both chasing the same thunderstorm and quickly become close friends.

Mish Michaels is best known as a forecaster, storm chaser, and environmental reporter during her almost two decades in Boston television where she worked for WHDH-TV, WBZ-TV and The Weather Channel.
