Christmas, New Year's Day Won't Alter Trash Pickup In Braintree
There will be special hours at the drop-off center around the holidays, however. Here's what to know.
BRAINTREE, MA — In 2022, and on the first day of 2023, the two final winter holidays fall on a Sunday.
With Christmas and New Year's Day landing on the weekend, Braintree officials announced that trash pickup for the weeks of Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 won't be affected, with pickup remaining on normal days.
The drop-off center will have special hours, however.

On both Christmas and New Year's Eve, the drop-off center will be open from 7:15 a.m. to noon. On Dec. 26, Dec. 28 and Jan. 2, the center will be open from 7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
