Clifford To Leave Town Council

The councilor will not seek re-election this fall.

BRAINTREE, MA — A third member of the Braintree Town Council has opted not to run for re-election.

Citing personal and professional reasons, Councilor Paul "Dan" Clifford announced Tuesday night that he will not seek another term as the councilor for District 6.

"This decision was hard because I enjoyed and loved serving the Town and District. It was a difficult decision, one that I struggled with up to the end, when I knew I could no longer put the time or energy that is required into the District," Clifford wrote in his announcement.
