Community Servings Seeking New Clients in Braintree Area During National Nutrition Month

Community Servings provides meal delivery services for the chronically ill and those unable to shop or cook for themselves and their families and currently serves clients in Braintree.

Leading health and nutrition nonprofit Community Servings announced today that is accepting referrals for new clients suffering from critical or chronic illnesses who wish to utilize its home delivery meal service. The organization’s home-delivered meals are available to individuals living with a life-threatening illness who are unable to shop or cook for themselves.

Community Servings is the only organization in New England that specializes in the home delivery of medically tailored, culturally appropriate meals to those battling critical and chronic illness and their families. Each day, the organization offers 25 individualized diets to patients battling a variety of illnesses, including cancer, HIV/AIDS, multiple sclerosis and diabetes.

“Our meals program is designed to improve the health and quality of life of those battling severe illnesses,” said David Waters, CEO of Community Servings.  “Oftentimes clients who are too sick to cook for themselves are forced to leave their homes and their families.  Our meals program offers comfort and hope at a critical time, and we want to let people know that this vital service is available on the South Shore.”
