BRAINTREE, MA — An employee at the Braintree Post Office has tested positive for the new coronavirus, according to United States Postal Service officials.

Stephen Doherty, the communication manager for the Greater Boston region, confirmed the positive test Wednesday afternoon. Doherty said the region's branch of the Postal Service has added extra precautions. Details are expected later Wednesday, he said.
