The confirmed case is the second positive test to come out of Braintree High School in the last week.

BRAINTREE, MA — A member of the Braintree High School community has tested positive for the coronavirus, school officials announced Monday in an email to families.
The confirmed case is the second positive test to come out of Braintree High School in the last week.
Principal Christopher Scully confirmed the community member was in the school while students and staff were present. He said the school's health office has reached out to any students and staff who were in close contact, and they will quarantine as a result.

"Because of the nature of individual student schedules, different classes may be affected in different ways by these quarantines," Scully wrote in a letter to families. S"tudents and families whose schedules may be affected will be notified by the school in a separate email, and we are continuing to monitor the situation and to consider adjustments to our instructional model to ensure that all classes can continue to be as effective as possible."
Scully also asked that families continue to follow the district's guidance for lessening the spread of the coronavirus. Families should use this daily checklist before sending their children to school.
