Curbside Pickup Begins At Braintree Library

BRAINTREE, MA — The Thayer Public Library has started a new program for people to take out books safely amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The program allows people to pick up books right from their cars. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on weekdays, residents can call the library at 781-848-0495 and make a request for books. You can also place a hold on a book at ocln.org. The pickup hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.

Library officials said they are taking safety precautions with the books to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Books that are returned will be quarantined for 72 hours before going back into circulation.
