Davio's Coming to South Shore Plaza

The upscale restaurant plans on opening a location in Braintree.

BRAINTREE, MA — One of Boston's most well known upscale restaurants is coming to Braintree.

Last week, the Board of Licensing Commissioners voted to grant Davio's a liquor license and a common victualler license. The vote to appoint owner Steve DiFillippo as the manager of record was tabled to the board's Nov. 22 meeting at the request of the applicant.

While there is no opening date planned, Davio's is expecting to move into the space formerly occupied by the Rodizio Grill. The Brazillian steakhouse closed early last year after about two years of operation.
