Dream Final Gives Braintree Boys Soccer D1 South Title
The Wamps took the lead five minutes in and never gave it up during the 6-1 win over Needham.

BRAINTREE, MA — The Braintree boys' soccer team will come home from Milford High School with some new hardware.
The fourth-ranked Wamps took the lead five minutes into the match and never looked back, beating No. 6 Needham 6-1 in the MIAA Division 1 South Championship. Braintree moves onto the Division 1 state semi-final, where they will face North Champion Lexington.

The win gives Braintree their first D1 South title in boys' soccer since 1981. The state semi-final is scheduled for Nov. 16 at Manning Field in Lynn.
