ESPN Puts Braintree Girls Hoops Atop MIAA Poll
The Braintree High School girls basketball team went to the state semifinals last season.

In its first statewide girls basketball poll, ESPN Boston has ranked the Braintree High School squad first among its MIAA competitors.
The team snagged the top spot out of 25 after Reading lost a prime prospect to injury, according to an article by ESPN published Monday.
"With that in mind, we went with Braintree at No. 1 in the first poll of the year," Brendan Hall wrote for the website. "The Wamps started three freshmen in last year's run to the Division 1 Eastern Mass. Final, and are one of the favorites across the state, led by sophomore center Molly Reagan."
