Braintree Mom Launches New Pathway for Young Adults

Dharma Dreams Vocational Center

Dharma Dreams Vocational Center is a nonprofit vocational and life skills program based in Hanover, Massachusetts, serving young adults ages 18–26 with moderate cognitive disabilities. Our mission is to help students build practical job skills in the trades, confidence, independence, emotional regulation, and workplace readiness through hands-on vocational training and supportive learning experiences. The program was created in response to the growing need for meaningful transition opportunities for young adults as they move beyond high school and into adulthood. Many families struggle to find programs that combine practical workforce preparation, life skills development, communication skills, confidence-building, and supportive real-world learning experiences. Dharma Dreams offers hands-on exposure to vocational areas such as landscaping and grounds maintenance, painting and surface preparation, workplace professionalism, entrepreneurship basics, and life skills training. Students also learn mind-body techniques that support focus, confidence, emotional regulation, stress management, and workplace success. Our introductory summer program, launching at the end of July, is designed to help students and families become familiar with the program and explore vocational interests before participating in longer-term programming. Long-term programming focuses on helping students develop greater independence, workplace readiness, responsibility, confidence, and practical trade skills through structured, hands-on learning experiences. Dharma Dreams Vocational Center aims to create supportive pathways toward greater independence, meaningful employment opportunities, and a stronger sense of purpose while helping young adults feel valued, capable, and connected to their future potential.

<a href="https://www.btonefitness.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">btone FITNESS</a> announced today the official opening of its newest South Shore location in <a href="https://www.btonefitness.com/locations/braintree" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Braintree, Massachusetts.</a> Grand opening festivities will begin on Friday, July 17th with an open house, a 10:30am ribbon cutting with Braintree Mayor Erin V. Joyce, and donation-based classes throughout the weekend to benefit <a href="https://www.facebook.com/p/Braintree-Special-Needs-Recreation-Program-Inc-aka-Super-Saturdays-100064568774462/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Super Saturdays</a>. The new 2,000 square-foot studio is the growing brand’s latest franchise to open and joins several other South Shore locations including those in Cohasset, Hanover, Kingston, and Marshfield. Additional greater Boston franchise studios are slated to open soon including those in Brighton, Haverhill, Chelmsford and Worcester.&nbsp;
The Braintree studio, located at 121 Pearl Street in Pearl Plaza across from Ivory Plaza, is owned and operated by South Shore resident and long-time btone devotee, instructor, and trainer Maura McGreevy who says, “btone is an upbeat, 45-minute, full-body workout that’s both highly effective&nbsp;and efficient. It’s a hybrid of Pilates-inspired movements and resistance training that you can customize to meet you wherever you are in your fitness journey, whether you’re just beginning or a btone regular. All levels and ages are welcome!”



McGreevy adds, “I’ve had my sights set on Braintree since the beginning days of taking and teaching btone classes. And our Pearl Plaza location is the perfect spot for a new btone FITNESS studio, given all of the popular retail establishments nearby. Our location is convenient and easily accessible to anyone living or working right off of Routes 123, 93 and 3.”
The Braintree studio will offer thirteen brand new customized btFORMERS [exclusively and locally manufactured for btone FITNESS] to ensure a highly personalized Pilates hybrid workout where clients will feel comfortable regardless of their fitness levels. Unlike other group exercise classes, btone specializes in 45-minute, total-body TONE workouts on these customized machines, allowing clients to tailor each and every move with spring resistance and body placement. Clients can easily and safely modify their workout based on their current fitness level and wellness goals.
