The Thayer Public Library is recognizing National Poetry Month as part of their 2011 Author/Speaker Series with a poetry reading by David Kates, who will read from two of his works "Inheriting Weight: New Work 2004 - 2008" and "Completing the Circle: A Son's Memoir" on Saturday, April 23rd, from 3 to 4:30pm.
The Friends of the Thayer Public Library will have copies on the books for sale. Proceeds from book sales will benefit the library.
