Friends of Thayer Public Library are presenting the Northeast US Navy Showband/Brass Band at the Braintree Town Hall Auditorium from 3 to 4PM on Sunday March 18th. The band performs throughout the Northeast United States and specializes in New Orleans Jazz, Marches, Popular, and Patriotic Music. They are one of the most sought after big bands in the region and travel extensively through the Northeast giving public concerts, music clinics, and playing at jazz festivals. Be sure to come and enjoy this rare chance to see them perform for free.
This is another in our 2011-12 series of concerts. We can provide and pay for these free concerts, other library related events, and supplying some of the needed funding renovations and growth as a consequence of our membership fees, our money raising activities like Book Sales and Electronic Equipment pickup, and donations from individuals who would like to give back to community and make our beautiful library topnotch in every way.
