Girls D1 State Final: 2nd Half Carries Springfield Central Over Braintree

SPRINGFIELD, MA — After weeks of practice, games, and anticipation, one game separates the Braintree Wamps from their third state championship in four years.

Saturday afternoon, Braintree will take on Springfield Central at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield for the MIAA Division 1 title. The Wamps enter the final with a record of 21-4 while Springfield Central stands at 21-3. For those unable to make the trip to the birthplace of basketball, Braintree Patch will be in Springfield providing live updates. The tweets will start shortly before the 3:30 p.m. tipoff and will continue with regular updates throughout the game.
