Fundraising for Braintree Fourth of July Celebration Underway

The July 4th Celebration Committee hopes businesses and residents will contribute to Braintree's 42nd Annual Independence Day celebration.

The Braintree July 4th Celebration Committee Inc. has officially kicked off its fundraising campaign and hopes the business and residents of Braintree will step forward and support the committee’s financial goal for the town’s 42nd Annual Independence Day Celebration.

The committee is a charitable 501 (C) 3 organization and as such, donations from businesses and individuals are tax deductible. The committee has developed a menu of options for businesses and individuals to become sponsors at all financial levels.

“The committee is once again excited about the chance to partner with our businesses and offer them the chance to sponsor this great family fun event. This will generate positive advertising and publicity for their business and instill pride while supporting a great cause,” committee chairman Sean Powers said.

This year marks a special milestone for Braintree as the town celebrates its 375th anniversary of incorporation.

The Braintree’s 42nd Annual Independence Day Celebration will be held on Saturday June 27, 2015. The Stars and Stripes Parade will step off from the Hollis School on Washington St at 11:45 a.m. The afternoon Celebration at Braintree High School will begin at 2 p.m. with live entertainment sponsored by BELD beginning at 4 p.m. leading up to the Salute to Our Soldiers program at 9:30 p.m., Raffle Drawing at 9:45 p.m. and Fireworks sponsored by Liberty Bay Credit Union at 10 PM.
