So...this happened...Banana Bread Pudding at one of my favorite restaurants. Did my blood sugar spike through the roof with every bite? Yup. Will it stop me from reaching my nutrition goals the rest of the week? No way! The MOST important trick to getting in shape AND staying in shape is getting back on track at the very next meal (not the next day or Monday!). A few tips for success:
1. Stabilize your blood sugar MOST of the time- eat a meal balanced in protein, a little carbs and fat every 3 to 4 hours to burn fat and boost your metabolism (find a ton of tips and balanced recipes on my page!)
2. Let go of the guilt, plan for the indulgences and have only 1-2 per week.
3. Get right back on track 3-4 hours later with a balanced meal to re-stabilize your blood sugar and get your body back into fat burning mode.
