BRAINTREE, MA — Eye care and grocery shopping may seem an unusual combo, but that’s what you’ll find at a Stop & Shop supermarket here.

Visology has opened inside the store at 316 Grove St. in South Braintree.

The town announced the opening in a statement last week, saying Visology is a “modern eye-care and eyewear destination offering convenient in-store vision services, comprehensive eye exams, and a wide selection of stylish, high-quality frames.”

The eye-care outlet is one of seven in eastern Massachusetts, all within Stop & Shop stores, according to the Visology website.

Visology is a privately held company, founded five years ago in Miami.
