GoFundMe For Family Of Braintree Crash Victims

Two stepbrothers were killed in a head-on collision in Braintree, and their family set up a GoFundMe to help with the funeral costs.

BRAINTREE, MA — The family members of two Randolph men, who were killed in a car crash near Braintree High School, have set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral costs. Stepbrothers Bryan Davila Martinez, 23, and Jan Rivera, 20, died Wednesday morning after a head-on collision on Granite Street.

Emily Mercado, the family member who organized the GoFundMe campaign, said the brothers were on their way to work when the crash happened. She said the two were close and described them as "hardworking individuals who were very family oriented."

"Due to the sudden and unexpected loss in our family, we appreciate any financial contributions made to assist in this difficult time," Mercado wrote. "Your donations will be used to pay for their funeral costs and Tavel expense to take the remains to Puerto Rico ... We are thinking about you both, we love you, and thank you for the time you granted us on this earth."
