The bridge work is part of a $6.3 million project to replace two bridges on Route 3 in Braintree, just south of the Braintree split. The structures will be replaced in their entirety over the course of two weekends in the fall of 2017. All work is expected to be completed by the end of 2018, according to MassDOT.
