Grand Opening for Public Today at Braintree's New Doctor's Express

Now open for business, the public is invited to attend a special Grand Opening Community Day to celebrate the new Doctors Express Urgent Care center at 485 Granite Street in Braintree on Saturday, June 9^th from noon to 2:00 p.m.

Kevin and Lee Moehlenkamp, residents of Hingham, MA, and franchisees of the Braintree center — the newest Doctors Express Urgent Care center to be opened in the Commonwealth and the first to open in eastern Mass — are pleased to open the doors to the public for a day of fun and information. There will be tours of the new facility, meet-and-greet opportunities with doctors and staff, including Dr. Arnold Soslow of Wayland, and numerous activities.  In addition, there will be special giveaways for attendees.

The goal of the new urgent care center is to be an alternative to over-crowded emergency rooms, and a place for patients to be seen when their doctor’s office is closed for treatment of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The state-of-the-art facility will opened its doors on June 2, 2012. 

The Braintree Doctors Express Urgent Care Center will be open seven days a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It will be one of only two Doctors Express centers in the state, and will offer residents and workers in Abington, Avon, Brockton, Canton, Hingham, Holbrook, Hull, Quincy, Randolph, Rockland, Stoughton, and Weymouth, MA, as well as Cumberland and Woonsocket, RI, a convenient place for treatment of severity level 1-4 illnesses. 

Other Doctors Express locations in Massachusetts include Springfield, where the first center was opened in 2010, breaking patient-visit-count records of all new Doctors Express Urgent Care Centers in the nation. Additional centers are scheduled to open during 2012 in North Andover, West Springfield, Dedham, Natick, Watertown, and Saugus.

A new concept in health care, Doctors Express centers utilize the latest in medical technology — including electronic medical records, digital X-rays, and on-site labs — to treat patients with urgent but non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, from colds and flu to fractures and sprains.
