Guns Nabbed, 2 Arrests Made After Braintree Car Chase Early Sunday: Police

Braintree police made the arrests following a pursuit that included aid from a state K9 unit and three other law enforcement squads.

BRAINTREE, MA — Police confiscated two guns and a large-capacity ammunition magazine after a vehicle stop early Sunday morning led to a crash and a foot pursuit on Wood Road.

Braintree officers responded around 2 a.m. to a report of suspicious activity by a group of people in the parking lot of the Sonesta Simply Suites hotel, 235 Wood Road, a statement said late Sunday.

Soon after police arrived at the scene, off Exit 6 of Interstate 93, a red sedan sped through the parking lot and onto Wood Road, headed west.
