Harvard Vanguard Doctor Practicing in Braintree Named Chief of Ambulatory Geriatrics

Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, a multi-specialty physician practice with offices across eastern Massachusetts and an affiliate of Atrius Health, is proud to announce that Dr. Eliza Shulman has been appointed the Chief of the Ambulatory Geriatrics Department. 

Dr. Shulman joined Harvard Vanguard in 2009 and has practiced family medicine and geriatrics at the Braintree location. She made her mark as a valued geriatrics consultant, leading care improvement efforts to enhance the quality of services Harvard Vanguard provides to frail elders.

Dr. Shulman received her Master of Public Health from the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. She completed dual residences in the Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency and Leadership Preventive Medicine programs. While in residency, Dr. Shulman worked with interdisciplinary teams caring for frail elders and piloted an EMR to assist primary care providers in advance care planning and in creating advance directives for their patients. Currently, she is preparing for a certification in hospice and palliative medicine. Dr. Shulman is board certified in both family medicine and preventive medicine.

She is a resident of Cambridge, Mass.
