Has Braintree Solved the Geese Problem at Sunset Lake?

After years of issues with geese, there have not been any this summer at Sunset Lake

It’s become a yearly trend at Sunset Lake: as summer arrives, so do Canada geese and the mess they leave.

Recreation Director Nelson Chin told the Boston Globe that the geese would use the docks as a landing spot, so much that the first thing the lifeguards would do in the morning is clean the goose poop off the docks.

This summer, however, the docks were not put out and the geese did not show up, resulting in cleaner water and appearance around the public beach.

While there have been no geese this year, Chin said it doesn’t mean they are permanently gone.
