How Braintree Voted On Super Tuesday
Joe Biden carried Braintree by more than 1,000 votes over Bernie Sanders.

BRAINTREE, MA — Just over 11,100 Braintree voters cast a ballot in the 2020 Super Tuesday primary election, a decrease of about 1,000 voters over the 2016 Democratic Primary.
Former vice president Joe Biden carried Braintree with 3,143 votes, or roughly 38 percent of the vote. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders finished second with 2,056, which came out to just under 25 percent support. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren finished a distant third in Braintree amassing just 1,203 votes.
On the Republican side, President Donald Trump came out victorious, which was no surprise considering he faces no serious primary challenger. Trump got 2,487 votes, or 90.8 percent of the support of Braintree residents who voted in the Republican Primary. Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld received just 168 votes.
