Juveniles Charged After Ramming Braintree Police Car During Chase

Police first tried to stop the two juveniles after finding them inside a stolen car at South Shore Plaza. A court date is set for Thursday.

BRAINTREE, MA — Two juveniles are set to be arraigned on Thursday after they were found inside a stolen car, tried to escape police during a chase and, in the process, rammed into a Braintree police cruiser, police said.

Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Braintree police units located an occupied stolen car at South Shore Plaza. Police tried to conduct a stop of the car, but the suspects rammed into one of the cruisers as they tried to flee, officials said.

A chase ensued, but the suspects drove down a dead-end street before getting out of the car and fleeing the scene on foot, officials said.

According to ABC 5's Kevin Wiles, police used K9s and requested assistance from other departments — including drones — to locate one of the two suspects.
