Kristen McDonnell Returning As Braintree Girls' Basketball Coach
McDonnell initially resigned in April but will return for the 2017-18 season.

BRAINTREE, MA — After resigning in April, Kristen McDonnell is back as the Braintree High School girls' basketball coach.
McDonnell announced Friday that she will return for the 2017-18 season. She initially stepped away from the position, citing issues with some parents upset over playing time.
"Grateful to BHS administration for the opportunity to return to the Braintree sideline. I'm beyond excited to reunite with the Wamps," McDonnell wrote on Twitter.

During her time in Braintree, McDonnell has turned the Wamps into a powerhouse, winning five South Sectional championships and two Division 1 titles. In the most recent season, the girls' basketball team made it to the Division 1 final, falling to Springfield Central.
