Landing Restaurant Trio Announces Closure

After about 10 months of business, Trios at the Weymouth Landing will shut their doors permanently Friday night.

The restaurant announced on Facebook Wednesday afternoon that they will be closing at midnight on Aug. 21 due to the redevelopment of the Braintree side of the Landing.

“We at Trio wish to thank our customers for your patronage, support and friendship over the past ten months. Due to the recently approved redevelopment project put forward by Josh Katzen (Landing Apartments LLC) we will be closing at midnight, Friday August 21,” the restaurant said on their Facebook page.

On Tuesday, the Braintree Planning Board approved the site plan for Landing Apartments, a mixed-use development aimed at revitalizing the area. Before the vote, a representative from Trio endorsed the proposal.
