Local Priest Presides Nationally Televised Mass

Father Eric Cadin the Assistant Vocation Director at the Office of Vocation in the Archdiocese of Boston celebrated today's Mass

WATERTOWN, Mass. (October 22, 2015) – The daily Catholic Mass was celebrated at the Watertown studios of CatholicTV in the Chapel of Holy Cross.

Father Eric Cadin the Assistant Vocation Director at the Office of Vocation in the Archdiocese of Boston celebrated today’s Mass in honor of the feast of Saint Pope John Paul II. Fr. Cadin was joined by parishioners of St. Michael Parish in North Andover, including Ms. Brenda Terranova who served as lector for the Mass.

St. Pope John Paul (nee Karol J. Wojtyla) was born in 1920 in a town north of Cracow. Although his college education was interrupted by the Nazi occupation at that time, Wojtyla realized his call to the priesthood and enrolled in the clandestine seminary of Cracow. In 1967 he was selected as Cardinal and years later was elected Pope in 1978. He was known for his famously developed themes; among the many were, “The New Evangelization”, “The Culture of Life”, and “The Theology of the Body”.
