"My priority for 2017, shared by my fellow MSAC commissioners, is safety. We will do everything in our power to make 2017 the safest year on record for all boxing activities sanctioned and regulated by us."

"Boxing is a great sport. It can teach fitness and discipline to our youngest, safe living and/or avocation for the professional and amateur fighter and an engaging, high-quality form of regular exercise for everyone."
